What’s wrong
Tap what’s wrong. You don’t need to diagnose the repair.
I need something
The office sees this. Not a broken-machine report.
Who used what
Every machine field staff logged, by person and day. This is not a defect log.
Supply needs
Open a request for the full details, then record whether it is waiting, ordered, obtained, not obtained, or denied.
Asset editor
Add a machine manually or update its identity details. Fitment research stays separate and is never overwritten here.
Asset register
Click a row for the asset card. Group by location, type or brand. Left-click headings to sort; right-click still has extra sort options.
| Asset ↑ | Location ↕ | Type ↕ | Brand / model ↕ | Service scope ↕ | Spark plug ↕ | Air filter ↕ | Service status ↕ | Action |
|---|
Inspect / QR
Scan the existing asset barcode or select the asset manually
Barcode workflow
Designed around the labels already on the equipment
If the barcode contains the full asset code it is matched directly. If it only contains the numeric asset suffix, the app will use it when that suffix uniquely identifies one item. A manual entry fallback is always available.
Recent inspections
Incorrect entries can be deleted
Report defect
Scan or select an asset, describe the problem, and optionally create the workshop action immediately
Scan-to-workshop
Fast field workflow
Open defects
Delete incorrectly logged defects; linked work orders are removed too
Workshop queue
Defect → pick this machine’s parts → labour → complete. Jobs can be deleted if logged in error.
Service schedule
Starts from baseline checks; model-specific intervals can be added as research is completed
| Asset | Type | Status | Last service | Nominal interval | Action |
|---|
Parts editor
Add a catalogue part, link it to known assets, and keep its fitment status explicit. New entries default to CHECK so an unverified part is never presented as exact.
Parts library & fleet stock
Search the catalogue, sort by order quantity, and click a fitment count to see compatible machines. Routine quantities stay separate from workshop spare targets.
Needs identification
Machines still missing a reliable model or part number
Per-asset parts matrix
Search individual equipment; when a type is selected, categories that do not apply to that equipment are automatically hidden.

Vehicle editor
Add a road vehicle or update its identity, registration and service setup. Meter readings and inspections stay in the operational workflow.
Vehicles
Road fleet records can be configured here as vehicles are onboarded.
| ID | Class | Rego | Make / model | Odometer | Next service | Status | Action |

Trailer editor
Add a trailer or update its identity and inspection scope. Trailer fitment research remains untouched.
Trailers
First-class assets: coupling, chains, lights, tyres, bearings/brakes, ramps/tie-downs

Import from MEX
Use the Template/Sample from MEX Import/Export, or a listing export. Preview and map columns before anything is saved. Researched fitment is never overwritten.
Export to MEX (provisional)
These files follow common MEX column names. A MEX administrator must validate them against the official Template before import.
Import reports
A record of each commit stays in this browser until you reset data.
Backup & restore
Export inspections, jobs and stock as JSON. Plate photos stay on this device and are not inside that file.
Depot
Owner settings for this shared workspace. Plan limits keep a small depot predictable; requester logins stay lightweight because they can raise defects without editing master data.
Owners and authorised admins can manage the controls allowed by their own role. The last owner cannot remove their own owner access; asset, vehicle, trailer and parts master-data changes use the session Edit mode switch in the navigation.
Permissions
Core access by role. Edit roles opens the detailed checklist.
✓ means allowed and × means not allowed. These four core checks keep the summary readable; Edit roles contains the full menu-tab and action checklist. Owner permissions are always on and cannot be removed.
People
Invite by email. They sign in with a magic link. You cannot remove the last owner or your own login.
